Voluntary Compliance Program
- 1. Voluntary Compliance Program and Background of Implementation
- The Voluntary Compliance Program, or Compliance Program (CP), is an internally established program that we are operating for the purpose of improving understanding of and encouraging voluntary compliance with the fair trade laws. It is a part of the diverse compliance activities that we implement to establish a compliance management system and enhance corporate value. The Compliance Program has been implemented since April 2019 in accordance with the CEO's 'Declaration of Voluntary Compliance Practice' for the purpose of becoming a more trusted company by strengthening activities to prevent violations of fair competition laws by employees and to eliminate any and all unethical business practices.
- 2. Targets of the Voluntary Compliance Program and Responsibilities of Employees
- This compliance program applies to all of our employees. All executives and employees of the company must comply with the matters stipulated in the Fair Trade Compliance Operational Regulations in their day-to-day work, and if they have witnessed any violations of fair competition laws, they must report such violations to the Compliance Manager. All executives and employees must also review the possibility of violating fair competition laws in the performance of their duties and request advice and consultation from the Compliance Manager when in doubt.
- 3. Roles and Responsibilities of the Compliance Manager
- The company has appointed a compliance manager by the resolution of the Board of Directors to ensure the successful establishment of the compliance program, and the Compliance Manager shall establish and enforce the company's policies related to the Compliance Program by reflecting the revised matters of the fair trade laws. For the smooth operation of the fair trade compliance program, the company has appointed a compliance officer (concurrently appointed as the compliance assistant) within each department to ensure full compliance with the Compliance Program. The Compliance Manager is obliged to inspect and monitor work performance for the smooth operation of the Fair Trade Compliance Program, and to report the results of inspection to the Board of Directors at least once every six months. In addition, to help employees understand their duties, the Compliance Manager must produce and distribute a voluntary compliance manual, and must also establish a training plan for employees and provide training at least once a year and for at least two hours every six months in areas where there is a risk of violations of the law so that employees can prevent possible violations in advance.
